Wits End Poetry: Board of Directors
Founder Kimberly Simms. Kimberly Simms founded Wits
End Poetry in Fall 2002. She is an experienced grant writer
and trained arts integration specialist. Kimberly is a published
poet and a first generation American who grew up in Greenville,
South Carolina.
Scott Crichton. Design. Scott Crichton is a native of
Canada and a Residential Architect for Neal Prince + Partners.
Scott oversees design including our website, advertisements,
and logo.
Kevin L. Lewis. Slam Team. Kevin L. Lewis is a native
of Greenville, SC and appeared on the 2004 season of HBO's Def
Poetry Jam. He is a senior member of the Greenville Slam Team
and represented Greenville at the World Poetry Slam 2005.
Jennifer Meece. Sponsorship. Jennifer Meece lives in
Greer, SC and is in charge of Sponsorship Recruitment for Wit's
End Poetry. She is a Quality Systems Facilitator for Spartanburg
Steel Products. She specializes in unique genres and page poetry.
Robert E. Mullins, Jr. Youth Outreach and Events. Moodswing
dedicates himself to spoken word and helping local area youth
through his work at the T.K. Gregg Recreation Center where he
acts as the Spartanburg Slammaster.
Miranda Rehm. Youth Outreach and Events. Miranda Rehm
is a poet, visual artist, and retail sales associate in Greenville,
SC. Miranda assists with running our weekly events and believes
passionately in poetry's ability to help troubled youth.
John M Starino. Events and Outreach. John M. Starino
was a member of the 2005 Upstate Slam Team. He is now retired
in Lexington, South Carolina and devotes his time to the written
word and photography.
Scott Tillotson. Events. Scott Tillotson emcees every
3rd Sunday at the Wits End Poetry reading series with his band
Scotty T. and the Diseases. Scott Tillotson was a member of
the 2004 Upstate Slam Team and is a native of Spartanburg, SC.
Stacey "Inkera" Williams. North Carolina Coordinator.
Stacey Williams is a key member of the Queen City Slam in
Charlotte, NC. She has acted as liaison for Wits End Projects
in North Carolina including the 2005 Southern Fried Poetry Slam
and the 2006 World Poetry Slam.
Marc Willis. Community Outreach and Press. Marc Willis
is a poet, journalist, and reporter for Channel 4 news.
