BIOGRAPHY: Miesha Rice is a recent graduate of Johnson C. Smith University with a bachelors degree in English, who performs under the name "Always Ocean." While currently pursuing her Master of Arts in English, Ocean continues to perform at different poetry venues around the country. Influenced by members of the Concrete Generation such as Maze Forever, Q, Bluz, and Da Minista, Ocean is growing to become both a more charged writer and performer. In future years, Ocean hopes to see a resurgence in poetry, as well as pursue an M.F.A. in Creative Writing, publish many books, and get her passport to the moon. She is a nervous wave that's paving her way to gain respect and love, to infinity and beyond!
