Soloman Sparrow’s Electric Whale Revival

GREENVILLE, SC: On Sunday September 23rd at 7:30pm in Coffee Underground Theatre, Wits End Poetry presents the Solomon Sparrow’s Electric Whale Revival featuring Anis Mojgani, Buddy Wakefield, Derrick Brown, Dan Leamen, and Mike McGee — five power houses sharing one stage.  This exceptional and inspiring verbal circus showcases five National/World Poetry Slam Champions and Def Poetry Jam veterans weaving side splitting stitches, heartbreaks, political principles, and experiences of the soul to disarm, release, redeem, and revive each audience member.

Buddy Wakefield says of his troupe, “We are a troupe of belly laugh and human heart activists who dissolve smoke screens and fears while speaking directly to individuality and social sensibility issues.”

Doors will open for the event at 7:00pm with the theatrical experience starting promptly at 7:30pm in the Coffee Underground Theatre at 1 East Coffee Street in downtown Greenville. The night will be followed by a Question and Answer Session as well as a brief reception. Tickets $10 at the door or available in advance through mail order.

Wits End Poetry will also be offering a workshop with a national slam champ at 4:00pm on September 23rd. Please email kimberly@witsendpoetry.com for more information.
